Wild Speculation
I have a hunch that all this talk about John Roberts' records from his days with Bush I isn't going to lead anywhere.
For one, I think this Administration just likes playing this little game of keep-away with the press. Two, I think one of the reasons it likes it is that, once the information finally comes out the public is both tired of the story and unimpressed that all the hubbub about it didn't result in more salacious details. If you spend more than a month digging up dirt on the guy and don't at least find some transexual hookers in there somewhere, nobody cares what his political philosophy is.
